Bingo Event Instructions
In addition, the game contains two types of “HOLD” tickets. The first type of HOLD tickets are identified by a bun character and the words “HOLD!” and “BUN!” with a number in the range of 1-75. The second type of HOLD tickets are “DOWN-ROW” HOLD tickets identified by a sausage character, its related “name,” the word “HOLD!” and a number in the range of 1-15. “HOT DOG” HOLD tickets are numbered 1-3. “BURNIN’ BRAT” HOLD tickets are numbered 4-6. “HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE” HOLD tickets are numbered 7-9. “POKEY POLISH SAUSAGE” HOLD tickets are numbered 10-12. “CHORIZO CHAMP” HOLD tickets are numbered 13-15. All players holding “HOLD” tickets sign their name on the corresponding sign-up line on the back of the flare card. This ensures that if the game is not completely sold out in one day, the players will receive their winnings.
Once the game is completely sold out, the operator will announce the name of the game “SAUSAGE DERBY” and serial number, and that the game is now in play. The operator will then draw balls from the bingo machine. The first ball out determines the winning “HOLD! BUN!” number. The player holding the “HOLD! BUN!” ticket with the number matching the number of the first ball out wins the $50 prize. The player holding the “HOLD! BUN!” ticket with the number one number higher than the winning “HOLD! BUN!” number wins the $25 prize. The player holding the “HOLD! BUN!” ticket with the number one number lower than the winning “HOLD! BUN!” number wins the $25 prize. (If the winning “HOLD! BUN!” number is “1” the lower number will be “75.” If the winning “HOLD! BUN!” number is “75” the higher number will be “1.”)
The three sausage winners are determined by the first vertical row to be completely called on the bingo board. The player holding the down-row HOLD ticket matching the number at the top of the winning down-row is awarded the $300 prize. The players holding the related down-row tickets are awarded $100 each and the game is over. (Example: First completed down-row is down-row #8. “HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE” #8 wins $300, “HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE” #7 and “HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE” #9 each win $100.)
